Are You Eligible for a Visiting Visa?
You must:
◉ have a valid travel document, like a passport
◉ be in good health
◉ have no criminal or immigration-related convictions
◉ convince an immigration officer that you have ties—such as a job, home, financial assets or family—that will take you back to your home country
◉ convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit
◉ have enough money for your stay. The amount of money you will need depends on how long you will stay and if you will stay in a hotel, or with friends or relatives.
◉ You may also need a medical exam and a letter of invitation from someone who lives in Canada.

Tourism Visa
Documents You Will Need Include:
◉ Identity Documents
◉ Family information (a completed IMM 5645 form)
◉ A completed IMM 5476 form if you are using a representative
◉ Travel history (optional)
◉ Itinerary (optional)
◉ Account statement (optional)
◉ Invitation letter from person who you are coming to visit (optional)
If minor children are accompanying you, you may need to show:
◉ a letter that authorizes the minor child to travel to Canada, and
◉ other documents, such as adoption papers or a custody decree, depending on if the minor child travels alone or not
Super Visa
The Canadian Super Visa is a type of visa that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit and stay in Canada for up to five years at a time, without the need to renew their status every six months. It is a multi-entry visa that is valid for up to 7 years!
The Super Visa is a popular option for family reunification and has helped many families stay together in Canada for extended periods.
To be eligible for a super visa, you must:
◉ be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
◉ have a signed letter from your child or grandchild who invites you to Canada that includes:
◉ A promise of financial support for the length of your visit
◉ A list of people in the household of this person
◉ A copy of this person’s Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document

have proof of private medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that must:
◉ be paid in full, or in instalments with a deposit (quotes aren’t accepted)
◉ be valid for at least 1 year from the date you’ll enter Canada
◉ cover your health care, hospitalization and repatriation
◉ provide for at least $100,000 emergency coverage
The child or grandchild who invites you must prove that their household meets the minimum necessary income.
